in 2025 alongside my friends carina immer and guido luis, i helped launch farm party—a farming and dinner collective centered around community, land stewardship and agricultural education. and partying.

in collaboration with a local farm or community garden, we organize a group of people (anywhere from 25 - 150 depending on the locations capacity) around a “big push task.” this can be helping to spread a large pile of mulch, build a wall, erect a greenhouse, or anything else the farm might need. recently, we mobilized 125 people to Zorthian Ranch in Altadena, a farm that experienced severe destruction after the Eaton fire last year.

farm party lives by the motto first we farm, then we feast. volunteering accounts for about the first three hours of any event, and is then followed by a community feast cooked over an open flame led by Chef Guido.

every farm party event is 100% free, although we do accept donations. it’s imperative to us that these events remain free and accessible to all. should you choose to attend, your only requirement is to bring something for the feast, and of course to have a good attitude.

we have held six events across los angeles county since we launched a year ago. we are currently working to bring farm party to new york and the east coast.
